You may know of “Brangelina” and “Kimye,” but have you heard of “Miradam?” The married pair of Miranda and Adam Kneeland makes up the team behind Reminisce Studio by Miranda & Adam, a local photography company and proud member of the Chamber.
Both professionally-trained photographers, the idea for Reminisce Studio came about after friends and family requested that the pair photograph their weddings. “Wedding photography wasn’t a career choice that we had considered at the time,” they say, “but while photographing their weddings, we fell in love with wedding photography and knew that we wanted to make it our career.” Applying their backgrounds in business management as well as graphic design, Miranda and Adam launched their business in 2007 and have since expanded their offerings to include high school senior portraits as well as family, maternity, and newborn photography. The team also runs Noun Photography, a commercial photography division that counts among its clients ESPN Milwaukee, Rogers Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee River Cruise Lines, and more.
Citing a passion for community involvement, Miranda and Adam recently contributed to the exhibition “Homeless Is Not My Name,” featuring portraits and firsthand interviews of local homeless individuals. “The exhibition… aimed to personalize the issue of homelessness, dispel stereotypes and inspire involvement,” the team notes.
What sets Reminisce Studio by Miranda & Adam apart? In a few words, the team describes themselves as, “Artistic. Authentic. And really fun.” As a smaller company, Miranda and Adam promise to tailor each experience to their clients’ personalities, building relationships with the client in addition to taking top-notch photographs.
After the Chamber reached out to the pair, they opted to join because of their strong beliefs in “human rights, equality, liberty, and love,” which they see espoused in the Chamber’s overall mission.
In their spare time, Miranda and Adam enjoy holding game nights with friends, traveling, appreciating great food, and spending time with their “adorably sweet rescue dogs,” Jacque and Lula.
In addition to their photography, Reminisce Studio by Miranda & Adam will be at the Pride Fest Wedding Expo on Friday, June 5th. The team welcomes business from fellow Chamber members and will offer a 5% discount on base wedding package prices upon referral.
